Overview

Martvili Canyons Tour also includes the Sataplia protected area and Prometheus caves. Kutaisi is one of the oldest cities in Georgia and Europe. The city is geographically located in the central part of Georgia. It has an airport, which operates direct flights to many European cities. Because of the proximity to the Black Sea and the Caucasus glaciers, Kutaisi is highly popular among tourists.

Itinerary

Day 1 Tour around Kutaisi

Tour can be started either from Tbilisi or from Kutaisi. You will visit Kutaisi and its historical center, Bagrati Cathedral, Gelati Cathedral and Motsameta Monastery. Steeped in history, it’s tucked away in pristine foliage during the warmer months. Also, you will visit Sataplia State Nature Reserve. There is a karst cavern and traces of giant dinosaurs. You can also enjoy the views from panoramic glass bridge.

Overnight in Kutaisi guesthouse

Day 2 Tour around Martvili

Driving from Kutaisi to Samegrelo region. You will visit Gordi Canyon and arrange a pleasant stroll on the mountain path, above the river valley. Later you will drive to Martvili Canyon, one of the most popular destinations among tourists. We will sail on boats on the river and take pictures right at the waterfalls.

We overnight in Martvili guesthouse.

Day 3 Transfer back to Kutaisi or Tbilisi

We get back either to Kutaisi or to Tbilisi. On the road back we will also visit Prometheus caves.
